Fourth of July

After a couple days at home alone with Anabelle, we were missing Sabrina terribly and headed up north to be with her and Nana and Poppy, Katie and Austin for the holiday. We had a really great weekend in Lake City who is known for having the "Greatest 4th in the North". We went to the parade, the carnival and our for ice cream. We even were able to have some alone time with Sabrina thanks to Nana and Poppy!

Sabrina strutting her stuff with her toddler style accessories, they rarely left her side the whole weekend and went back and forth between the sand and lake at least a thousand times a day!

Sabrina's first popcicle at the parade.

Waiting for the festivities to start.

Anabelle and daddy at the parade. Anabelle was woking on getting rid of her jaundice by getting a little sun while taking her bottle.

Family time and coming home!

Anabelle has been enjoying meeting friends and family over the last couple days in the hospital. She has also been getting some "moments" in with ber big sis. Thank you to all who stopped by to see the newest member of the family and we can't wait to introduce her to the rest of the awesome people in our lives!

We are so excited to finally be coming home with our sweet Anabelle and start the business of day to day living! She has been making some gains with her eating and will hopefully continue to do so in the next couple days. Right now the toughest part is getting her to stay focused on the task of eating and keeping her tounge off the roof of her mouth!! Right now Sabrina is staying with her grandparents so we can spend the time working with Anabelle on this, but soon we'll have an 18 mo. old to contend with while feedings are happening so we hare hoping this process speeds up soon!

Change and more Change!

Our lives lately have been a little bit hectic. Not only have we been patiently (or not so patiently in my case) waiting for our precious little girl to arrive but over a month ago we decided to put our house up for sale as a home we had been interested in made itself avalable to us. In just two days our home sold and we began to pack up our things. Unfortunately, the sellers of the home we were planning to buy changed their minds about the sale. This left us scrambling to find a place to live! We have now ended up in a cute house that a builder had open and has graciously agreed to rent to us. We are now trying to figure out God's plan for our family and where He wants us to live! This living in the unknown has really been streching us and teaching us patience. Hopefully His plan will be made clear to us and we can rest in a more certain place! Until then we are focusing our energies on preparing for our lil peeps to come shake things up :)

Pintsized Picasso and pregnancies

A couple of weeks ago we had a joint shower for two of my co-workers who are expecting this summer only a day apart! Caryn is expecting twins (boy and girl who you can read about on The Navis Family) and Deb is going to be suprised by her little one (her story is on the Gritters Blog). It was great to see Caryn as she had been on bed rest for almost two months at the time of this shower. Her docs were kind enough to let her out for a bit!

If you have been checking in here for a while, you know there has been quite a rash of pregnancies at Bethany. Here is the latest photo of the Bethany mommies to be! (Shelly, Caryn, Deb, Me (34 wks then) and Meredith.

In entirely unrelated news, I am happy to share that I think Sabrina shares her mommy's love for painting! Here are a couple shots of her working on her Father's day gift for daddy.

Father's Day

To the special dad's in my life:

Brad thank you for striking that perfect balance between being a playful kiddo yourself, and being the solid rock and sturdy arms for our baby girl (soon to be girls!) to run to and rest safe in. My heart melts when I see pieces of you in our daughter. She and I are so lucky to have you!

Dad, you have been such an amazing presence in my life. You have definitely lived out the three L's (love, laughter and the Lord) in a way that I can feel them whenever I'm around you! Thanks for always being willing to say sweet and encouraging words and communicating how valuable each of us is. You will never know what that means!

Dad I thanks for being an ever present smile in our lives it is contagious! You always bring joy with you and your words of wisdom you share with us are so valued! Thank you for raising a son who values faith and family and care for others! I'm so lucky!

18 month and belly pics

This week we had Christy Packanowski do Sabrinas 18 mon. pics (a month early) and some belly/family pictures to capture the excitement of the newest one's pending arrival! She did an amazing job! It was a buggy and humid morning, but we had lots of fun and Sabrina was a trooper! Check out a small sample at http://clpphotography.blogspot.com/
