Day at the Zoo

While Brad was gone, Poppy and Nana took us girls and Auntie Jay to the Zoo. It was Sabrina and Anabelle's first time to the Zoo. Anabelle missed most of the fun, but Sabrina had a BLAST and it still talking about all the animals and her ride on Angel the camel! She also is talking about some mysterious giraffes that only she saw...hmmm. It was a really hot day and that warrented a slurpie...another first for Sabrina!

While daddy is away...

This weekend daddy is at the NASCAR race in TN, and he wanted to keep up with what me and Anabelle are up to (cuz mommy and daddy say we grow and change so fast)so mommy has been taking pictures of all the fun things we're doing to pass the time until he's home. So daddy, here's what I've been up to since you left yesterday: I took up nursing And learned to hang with the big boys I told tall tales to Nana and Anabelle, and taught Anabelle to read (she still has to focus pretty hard to get the big words though) I also conned mommy into letting me see the ducks and feed them my crackers! All in all it was a busy 24 hrs Daddy, but I did find time to record you a message:
(Maybe Anabelle will post for you tommorrow!)

Home Sweet Home

Finally after a couple months of chaos and indecision, we have made some progress on our future homestead! We have closed on the propertyon Nature View Ln and have begun the excavation process. There is alot to do before the foundation goes in. Brad has been taking down trees and moving both sand and black dirt. Tonight the girls and I went out there to bring Brad supper and check out the progress.
The below shot gives a feel for the lot
This will be the driveway heading towards the road.

We are excited about this new venture even though it will consume our next six months. We are praying it all goes smoothly! We'll post pics of the progress every so often too!

Jesus Loves Me, Nascar and Ketchup

Interesting title, eh? It is as random as these videos in the post and not other fitting title! Sabrina has been into singing to Anabelle and also is wanting to be video taped lately and this video is one of the many she (we) has made. I chose to put this first one up for two reasons: First, because it was one of the better attempts at Jesus Loves Me I caught on video and second, because Brad has been working at the Nascar "Boogity boogity boogity, lets go racin boys" with Sabrina (much to my dismay) and I got that too...however there is some boring eating and drinking in between, so I apologize! I don't know how to edit these things yet!
The second video is from at McDonalds on the way up north...up until this day, Sabrina wanted nothing to do with Ketchup so this little performance was quite a suprise.

She ended up licking out 4 paper cups full of Ketchup! Yuck to me, dinner to her! Stay tuned for more random video clips in the weeks to come!

At Last!!

PLUS

EQUALS

A proposal on the water while Jamie surfed!!! Too Cute! Jamie was so floored she wiped out but not before she yelled YES!!!

Drew jumped in to celebrate the big moment with her!

We could not be more happy for these two! It does not take spending too much time with them to see they belong together! They have been dating for 6 years and though we have long thought of Drew as part of the family, it's great to have it be more official now!

In Memory

Today we stood with dear friends as they laid to rest their beautiful 18 mo. old daughter Grace. There really are no words to describe the sorrow in our hearts. She will be dearly missed by so many. My heart breaks to hear Sabrina say "Gace, Gace" and know that they wont have the many playdates we had hoped they would have together.

Know our God has big loving arms that are welcoming Grace into her Heavenly home while also holding Brian and Kathy as they grieve such an unimaginable loss. Please lift them up in prayer in the weeks and months ahead.

"we'll praise you in this storm..."

"You'll be able to swim with me soon Sissy!"
